Wings and Warts

The human person comes in many shapes, sizes, colors, and attitudes. With this said, they can be either very easy to get along with or quite the opposite. This month we celebrate those who have gone before us in the light of Christ's teachings and love. The Church honors this brave, stubborn, and convicted group of folks for what they stood for: Jesus Christ and the Kingdom of God.

How can we be so great a warrior for Jesus? How can we be so brave against such evil in the world? Why would I think for one minute that I can be some hero in another person's life? We are called to be saints, we are called to be the people of God, we are called to be the Church, Christ's Church. How mighty a vocation, how great a feat!! I am but small and weak, fearful and jealous, suspicious and proud, neigh not of material described in a saint!
