A Saint Report: St. Andrew.......by Rebecca

Andrew was the brother of Peter and the very first disciple of Jesus. At first, Andrew was a disciple of St. John the Baptist, but when he heard about Jesus, he wanted to follow him. When Jesus found Andrew following him, he asked, “what are you looking for?” Andrew answered, “Where do you stay?” Our Lord replied, “Come and see.” From that moment on he followed Jesus as a disciple of Christ. Next, Andrew brought his brother Simon (Peter) to Jesus. The Lord received him to as a disciple. At first they continued to carry on there fishing trade, later Jesus called them to become fishers of men. It is said that after Jesus ascended into heaven, Andrew was preaching in Greece. He was put to death on an x-shaped cross, and tied, not nailed. For two days he suffered this way.

This saint report is a requirement for Rebecca's religion studies.
