Simple Devotion

For Today...

Dear Lord,

I bring you my shortcomings...Not always aware of you and the many gifts you give me, I troll through life. Help me to be more aware of your presence through my knight-in-shining armour, my wonderful children, and the silly pets that I trip over as they find security sleeping under my busy feet.

I bring you my worship and praise...as music is constantly in my head, especially this time of year as my children prepare for concerts, recitals, and performing where invited. You are the Lord of my being, with everything I am, I give back to you in grateful appreciation and devotion.

I bring you my prayer...of thanksgiving for my family and holidays spending time together with all we love so much.

You spoke to me
...through a small beta fish named Topaz this week who showed me how important even the smallest of your creation can mean so much in the bigger scheme of life. No amount of money could ever replace the past year watching my two girls' devotion to their little and beautiful friend. We will miss you!

Did Topez have a proper fish funeral?? Funerals are good for kids (and adults) When I was growing up we had elaborate funerals for all our little birds and turtles and whatever.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING. I'll be writing tomorrow and than making an apple pie...

I loved the message by Fr. John Corapi. I am not Roman Catholic. I am a member of the United Reformed Church. The Father's message is almost identical to the one our pastor preached yesterday.

I also joined in the Simple Woman's Daybook with you.

Hope you had a good Thanksgiving. :)
